The Warringah Amateur Swimming Association 2018 Swimming Scholarships are open for application
10 different scholarships available, including Dick Gallie Memorial Scholarship, 4 Warringah Amateur Swimming Association Winter Training Scholarships and up to 5 Warringah Amateur Swimming Association Winter Training Scholarships.
Applications close on Friday 13 April 2018
Throughout the season, WASA swimming clubs and their members can benefit from several valuable services including affordable insurance for members and a race programme specifically designed so that the Peninsula’s still and salt water swimmers have opportunities to compete against each other in a friendly environment.
Each club maintains its individual identity, and is able to focus on the promotion of swimming within the confines of official swimming rules, as a sport and recreational activity.
Once again this year, we are offering several Swimming Scholarships, as outlined below:
- The Dick Gallie Memorial Scholarship
- Up to Four Warringah Amateur Swimming Association Winter Training Scholarships
- Five Northern Beaches Council Awards comprising Entry Passes to the Warringah Aquatic Centre to be used in conjunction with training with Big Blue
We welcome nominations from all member clubs, to be sent by e-mail to: info@warringahswimming.asn.au by Friday 13 April 2018.

These Scholarships reward a commitment to swimming within any of WASA’s member clubs. They are intended to reward and encourage swimmers who have proved their commitment to the sport and supported the Association, not necessarily those who have recorded the fastest times.
Swimmers nominated should have demonstrated a good all-round attitude, as well as swimming skill, which will benefit them from being a successful WASA scholar.
We look forward to receiving nominations, through clubs, from applicants whom the club considers suitable.
