To all our Life Members and Club Officials
It is with great regret that I inform you of the death of Ann Manley, an esteemed member of WASA, indeed a Life Member of our Association and a long term participant of and contributor to our sport of swimming.
Ann’s contribution to the swimming community is immeasurable, both to WASA and her club, Queenscliff Ladies Amateur Swim Club. Her contribution to swimming on the Northern Beaches was recognised when she was awarded Life Membership of WASA in 2007. A Technical Official for many years, Ann will be remembered as a meticulous Referee and an expert Recorder at Handicap events.
In recent years Ann has had a number of health challenges and she succumbed to cancer, albeit after a tough battle, on 1 November.
Family and friends are invited to attend Ann’s funeral service to be held in the Camellia Chapel of the Macquarie Park Crematorium, corner of Delhi and Plassey Roads, North Ryde on Thursday 8 November at 10.30am.
